Formation is the discovery of ourselves within the mission! It is the process of understanding my purpose within the purpose of CHRISTUS Health, so that all of us can be united in the mission to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
Just as we offer unique and personal contributions to CHRISTUS, the mission of CHRISTUS also contributes to who we are. Formation uncovers where and how the mission lives in us and empowers us to impact and contribute to the mission.
The word "Executive" comes from the medieval Latin root word "exsequi", which means “to carry out.” As executives, we are responsible for carrying out the mission. We are called to see the big picture, understand the nuances, and ensure that our people, our practices, and our procedures all enhance the mission!
